A Delightful Reunion

With these wins, Swift now ranks as the fourth most decorated artist in the show’s history. She also achieved the feat of being the first artist to win Video of the Year three times, previously taking home the award for “Bad Blood” (featuring Kendrick Lamar, 2015) and “You Need to Calm Down” (2019).
The “Blank Space” singer, who is nominated for five awards tonight, looked like a vision in a shimmering silver minidress, complemented by chandelier crystal Christian Louboutin strappy heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. The dazzling, flapper-inspired Oscar de la Renta dress appeared to be composed of layers of glistening silver chains, embellished with clear jewels and pearls. The chains on the bust and skirt were layered over a nude fabric, while the middle part of the dress exposed Swift’s bare torso.
The dress had no sleeves and had a halter neckline with no back. Long strings of jewels cascaded down the bare back of the multi-hyphenate as she made her way down the red carpet at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
She wore diamond earrings that had a spiked, pear-shaped design which perfectly complemented her glamorous and timeless beauty look. Swift had her hair swept up into a neat bun with bangs parted down the middle. As for her makeup, she opted for a delicate silver cat eye and red lip.
Interestingly, her longtime boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, did not accompany her on the red carpet for the event.
Swift has received nominations in multiple categories for her short film “All Too Well”, including Best Video, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and Best Long Form Video.
In the past few years, Swift has somewhat retreated from the spotlight and opted for a more private life. Her presence at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards signifies her first award show attendance since the 2021 Grammys. Furthermore, her last appearance at the VMAs was in 2019, where she famously kicked off the show with a vibrant performance of her hit song “You Need to Calm Down.”
